Hanslope Cub Scouts planting the first batch of the 1,500 bulbs to be planted around the village this autumn.
A big thank you to Rachael Edwards and the Hanslope & Castlethorpe Cubs Scouts for planting so many bulbs on behalf of the WW1 Commemoration Committee. Our Heritage Lottery Grant means we should plant about 1,500 altogether in verges by the roads leading into the village this autumn – a small reminder of the sacrifices made by the 199 men and women from the village who served in the First World War.
