Rehearsals start for Humpty Dumpty – HEGS 40th annual pantomime
Rehearsals for Humpty Dumpty start at 8pm this Friday (14th October 2016). It’s a fabulous script with a lot of work, dialogue and songs for the chorus. We will also need the front and back end of a horse who has quite a major part! The plan on Friday is to introduce you to the script, the characters and the plot and the many musical numbers (there are probably seven Chorus numbers and some of the songs will require a lot of rehearsing). The Chorus also has quite a bit of dialogue and dancing. We need a strong chorus of adults and young people as there is a lot to do. The plan up until Christmas is to allow the younger children to leave around 9pm on a Friday. We are going to focus on the chorus numbers for a few weeks for the first half of each rehearsal and then the dialogue for the rest of the evening. I hope to have cast the Show by the first week of November. Several folk have already expressed an interest in joining this Anniversary Show but I’m keen to recruit more folks both on the stage (acting, dancing and singing) and back stage (set painting and building, sound and lighting and front of house). I am desperate for someone to help with choreography as we have several potential dance routines to rehearse. Come along at 8pm on Friday, Hanslope Village Hall (small hall) but please let me know in advance if you want to join us (email john.e.sorrell@btinternet.com or phone: 07889 181158).
Thanks John, Director

START COURSE – begins Thursday 13th October 2016 at 8pm
The START Course begins this Thursday (13th October). This is a course which is an introduction to Christianity. The course is very relaxed, exploring the meaning of life from a Christian perspective through a DVD video and discussion in a very lighthearted way. The first session is a “taster session” and does not commit anyone to complete the course. If anyone is interested please contact me ASAP (07889 181158 or PM) so we can ensure we have enough refreshments! Details on photograph.
